Change

Rebecca Graves was on her way to check in on one of her investments, a scientific research center responsible for many patents for scientific advancements in the past 20 years, when a homeless man outside the building started pestering her for change. She had always thought the homeless were just too lazy or stupid to work, so she ignored him as he followed her all the way to the door. She paused momentarily inside the building. She remembered discussing with the head researcher about how the lab struggled for test subjects. She smiled when she realized she could solve two problems at once, and she returned outside to trick the homeless man into becoming a guinea pig with the promise of "change."

When Rebecca met with the people in charge of the latest projects, she demanded they test their latest inventions on the homeless man. They were hesitant. They told her that things were quite ready for human testing, that it could be dangerous. Rebecca wasn't listening. They were soon strapping the homeless man into a chair and flipped a large switch.

The light flickered, and Rebecca suddenly felt woozy. She realized that she was now strapped down to the chair! She had switched bodies with the homeless man. She began ranting to the scientists, insisting to be switched back.

"Gentleman, I'm afraid this invention is a modest failure." She heard her own body say, "All you've seemed to accomplish with this machine is to convince a homeless person that he is me! I fail to see any use to this. Dismantle it at once!"

Rebecca didn't care what her body said; she knew who she really was. She freaked out when she heard those words. Rebecca's body simply walked out of the lab. While he may have been homeless, the man wasn't dumb. He knew when the machine had accidentally caused him to swap bodies with Rebecca that he should immediately take advantage of that. There was a lot he didn't know about being her, but he knew now that he was rich. This was the best kind of change he could've possibly hoped for.

Spiderwoman

Miles had been a fan of comic books since he was a kid. His favorite was always Spiderman. This didn't diminish into his adulthood. He still loved all the movies, the cartoon series, and (of course) the original comic. It had even influenced his career to be a genetic researcher. After extensive study, he became convinced a radioactive spider could infuse a person with super powers. The theory was mocked by his colleagues, but Miles was determined. He went to the lab late on night (disguising himself in -- what else -- his Spiderman costume from last year's Halloween party) to test the theory on himself. The effects were immediate. He did, in fact, obtain spider powers. The only problem? Only female spiders are able to spin webs, and an unfortunate side effect was becoming a full-fledged woman.

The next day, Joe confessed to Zach that it was actually him inside Melissa's body. Joe explained the whole story. The end result was a giddy reaction from Zach, and he had an idea. Zach suggested that they use the medallion to switch Melissa's best friend, Millie, with Leonard. Zach presented it as an interested experiment, Millie was a popular girl and Leonard was a nerdy outcast, but it was really a secret plan of revenge -- Zach had been stood up by Millie a few weeks ago. Joe shrugged; things were already pretty screwed up. So before long, Joe in Melissa's body and Zach in Patricia's body were hanging out with Leonard in Millie's body...

Robotic (Part 4)

Over the next few months, George's new robotic body was constantly tweaked. It started with some pretty basic things like covering over the rest of his robot frame with lifelike skin. Once that happened, it would probably be nearly impossible for anyone to be able to tell the difference between him and a normal woman, even when naked! The technicians were constantly messing with his senses. Touch, for instance, had felt a little weird and numb at first -- far less sensitive than before. As a result, it had been hard to him to grip things. But a few adjustments, and everything felt normal. He wondered if they actually adjusted how sensitive his sense were, or if they were just making him  accustomed to the slightly number ones.

They made adjustments that George wasn't aware of either to help him cope with the fact that he would be perceived as a woman. He no longer objected to wearing dresses or makeup. In fact, he would often request them, though he wouldn't understand why. His original brain would try to fight the programming, but the programming always won.

The press conferences continued throughout the process.

The three bodyswitched boys discussed what to do next. With grumbling stomachs, they decided to get some food, but Tony quickly discovered a problem with the idea.

"Guys," He spoke up, "Being chicks and all is pretty awesome, but don't they usually carry purses or something? I mean, right now it looked like we have no cash, no IDs, no nothing!"

Enrique and Mike exchanged glances.

"My sister sometimes keeps some cash in her shoes," Mike replied, "Or in her bra."

"There's definitely nothing in this body's bikini top." Enrique answered.

Tony also replied, "My body isn't even wearing a bra!"

"Check everywhere you can think off..." Mike said before reaching into his own top.

Before long, they discovered each of them had a credit card, an ID, and a few bucks stowed away in various odd places -- much to the relief of their stomachs after using the money to buy some hot dogs.

The next thing George realized, he was being ushered into a room with a bunch of reporters. He was soon fielding questions.

"How do you feel about your new body?" One reporter asked.

"I am happy to be alive." George responded, "This robotic body may not be quite the same as my natural one, but I am thankful to all of those involved for saving my life. I can't complain."

"Even though the body is a female robot, and yet you were male?" The reporter followed up.

"It would not have been my first choice for a new body, but I am happy."

George was taken a little aback by some of the words coming out of his mouth. He knew he didn't feel like this just a few moments ago, yet he knew all of these words were the truth now. It was like someone had flipped a switch in his head that he couldn't control.

Another reporter posed a question, "There have been ethical concerns with this procedure -- with wild rumors about how that robot shell could potentially lead to an absolute control of you. Have you experienced thoughts or feelings that weren't your own?"

George wanted to scream out with a YES, but instead a laugh came from his lips, "No, I assure you that everything I say and do is of my own choosing at this point. There's no one pulling the strings behind the scenes." George knew this was lie, but he once again couldn't stop himself. And as he heard himself actually say those words, the sudden switch occurred in his brain again, and he felt like those words were true.

Closer (Part 2)

Though Joe desperately wanted to get to know Melissa better, the fact that the medallion had stopped working was still nagging in his mind. He quickly developed a plan for an additional test. First, he called up his good friend, Zach. Zach was flabbergasted. He couldn't believe Melissa was calling him and asking him to come over to her house--Joe decided it was best (for now) to not reveal who he really was. As Joe waited for Zach, he started talking with Melissa's younger sister, Patricia. She was only about a year younger than Melissa, and after a short discussion, Joe knew he wouldn't need to call another one of his friends. When Zach arrived, Joe used the medallion to switch Patricia and Zach. Both had been curious about what it would be like to be someone else, so they weren't exactly upset...but they certainly were shocked. However, when Joe tried to switch them back, he found that the medallion (once again) wouldn't do so. Joe became a little worried--what if it only worked once per person? Patricia didn't seem so concerned, and quickly made her way back to Zach's house, eager to explore her new body in private. Meanwhile, Joe and Zach (in the bodies of the two sisters) had to admit they had some curiosity of their own.

Popular (Part 2)

The nerds inside the bodies of the three popular girls continued their trek through the mall. They still had all their own nerdy taste, so the girls' bodies would probably be pretty embarrassed if they saw themselves. They had missed their glasses, but they no longer had such poor vision. They tried on some designer frames meant for appearances only and were quickly pleased. Throughout it all, Charles just continued to feel himself up.

Where did it go?

Where did it go? Where did it go? Malcolm was freaking out. The Medallion of Zulu had been on the end of the chain around his neck all night. He had placed it there for safe keeping. He had heard far too many stories about the magic item getting lost, so he had decided to keep it close. He had put it on the chain around his neck as he gallivanted around town in a woman's body, but with the medallion now lost, it seemed as though this body would now be his for good. He leaned over to look for it; maybe it was still close! It had to be! He had checked on it repeatedly throughout the night to make sure it was there. It must've fallen off very recently.

The morning after

When the Great Shift happened last night, Roger was in disbelief. When he first found himself in a woman's body he thought he was dreaming, so he tried everything he could to wake up. Nothing seemed to work. Next, he simply tried drinking...heavily. He hoped something would make him snap back to reality. However, he woke up the next morning with a massive hangover and still inside the body of a woman. He'd try his best to overcome the hangover first, then he'd deal with the fact that he was now a woman.

As several more people entered the room, George started to erupt with anger.

"How could you do this to me?" George asked.

"We saved your life!" One of the men responded.

"You call this living!? I am a freak!"

One of the men pressed a few buttons on a remote he held, "And how do you feel now?"

"I feel fine." George responded.

"And how do you feel about your new body?"

"I love my new body. Thank you for giving it to me."

"Very good, George! That's a much better attitude! We can't have you freaking out with our press conference in just a little while, now can we?"

For the next few minutes, Mike was silent, but he noticed the other two women were unnaturally silent as well. He spoke up first, "Did anyone notice anything...weird back there?"

"Weird how?" One of the other two asked.

"Weird...like...let's say an out-of-body experience."

"Exactly." She smiled.

Mike recognized that smirk no matter what body. He asked, "Enrique?"

Enrique nodded, and all three boys soon celebrated their new bodies. It seems that Mike wasn't the only one with a bit of curiosity about what being the opposite gender would be like.

Robotic (Part 1)

The last thing George remembered was another car slamming into his own. The next thing he realized his eyes opened to a strange sight. Alongside his vision was digital meters and monitors. His joints felt strange, and his body felt even stranger. He looked down at his body with horror. He was a robot -- a female robot! How was this even possible!?

A man rushed in as George began to react. "I bet you're wondering what's going on." The man said, "You were selected for a new experiment. Your body had died, but your brain was in perfect condition. We transplanted it into our prototype body. Our apologies that she wasn't quite finished yet. Don't fret though, we will get that taken care of so that you won't be able to tell your robotic body from a human one. Apologies also for the female form. She was our only prototype."

George could only stand in shock.

...Or so he thought

Dr. Alan Tome had been working on the project for the past five years. Funding had been cut numerous times after repeated failure. He was down to a single lab assistant, a young woman named Rhian that he had hired just three months ago. She was a bit of a punk, often showed late for work, and took way too many smoking breaks. But she would do for his purposes. He didn't need her to be a good worker -- or even smart -- he just needed another body to test his mind switcher on. After placing a helmet on her head then his own and activating a switch, he could immediately tell that it had worked this time. He saw his own body across the room seemingly quite scared. It was understandable. He had never told her exactly what his machine would do. She had no idea what just happened -- or so he thought. Rhian had actually been paying close attention. She wasn't scared, just excited that it actually worked. Now that she was in Dr. Alan Tome's body, the machine was rightfully hers. She'd refuse to switch back, and then she could begin her masterful plan.

Closer

Joe had a crush on Melissa for as long as he could remember, but he had always been a bit too shy to express those emotions. It took him years to build up the confidence to commit to a romantic gesture. He bought an expensive piece of jewelry from a strange shop at the mall and presented it to her while gushing out his feelings. He was hopeful when he saw her smile, but it was quickly followed by words of rejection. Joe was devastated. Melissa tried to do her best to console him. She didn't want to make him feel bad; she just had no interest in dating him. She complimented the necklace he had bought and his taste. Their hands both brushed over it at the same time, and something strange happened -- Joe soon sound himself in Melissa's body and Melissa found herself swapped with Joe as well! They both immediately assumed it has something to do with the necklace, but nothing they did would swap them back! They vowed to keep trying. In the meantime, Joe would keep the jewelry around his neck for safe keeping, and they would each pretend to be each other. Back at Melissa's house, Joe would admire his new body in the mirror. This hadn't been his intention, but he certainly couldn't complain either. He could use this opportunity to get to know Melissa better and learn ways to get her to love him. Plus, he was sure the experience would bring them closer. When it was all over, he was sure she would return his affection!

Breakfast

Ken was a bit of a brat. His mom had hoped as he grew older, he would learn to appreciate how much she did for him, but as he entered his teens, he was just as spoiled as ever. Further, he would often hurl insults at his mom by calling her lazy or slinging hurtful names. Finally, she had enough. As he slept, she placed a curse on him. When Ken woke up, he'd find himself in a very different situation -- inside his mom's body! His first struggle was getting ready in the morning, putting on a bra and selecting an outfit from his mom's clothing was more difficult than he imagined. He walked downstairs to see his mom's schedule pulled up on a laptop. Meanwhile, his mom (now inside of Ken's body) decided to give Ken a hard time by demanding breakfast. Ken just shrugged his shoulders, "Breakfast? I don't know how to make any damn breakfast!"

Popular (Part 1)

The unannounced assembly had been a complete surprise to all of the students. When the topic of "tolerance" was being discussed, many of the students zoned out until the superintendent mentioned "body switching." The jaws of many in the class dropped in disbelief, but three nerdy boys named Jake, Charles, and Jarod were fascinated by the science involved. It seemed the technology was not only possible, but that every student in school would be swapped with someone else by the end of the day. Coincidentally, the nerds all ended up swapping with popular girls. At lunchtime, the three girls thought about what they should do with their new bodies.

"Don't popular girls just sort of skip school and go to the mall at this point?" Jake asked the other two.

Before long, the three were all at the mall and skipping class. They had bought jeans and sweatshirts to replace the girlie outfits they had been wearing earlier. Charles couldn't keep his hands off his new breasts, and the other two were just enjoying it all.

Like swimming (Part 2)

After a few hours in the pool, Joey was getting frustrated with his mom. She just wasn't getting the hang of this, and she seemed irritable and cranky. However, what he hadn't realized how much more patient he actually was. If he was still in his own body, he would've been bored hours ago.

Odd and pleasant

Reggie had noticed a few differences with his new body ever since an accident had caused him to switch bodies with the woman next door, but nothing really major. He decided to try a few things to really feel the differences between being a man and a woman. He had just gone jogging without a bra, but his new breasts really weren't that big, so the jiggling wasn't terribly noticeable. However, coming inside after and pulling up the workout pants REALLY high -- he could definitely feel the change between his legs now. It felt strange as the fabric sort of sucked up inside him a little bit. He smiled. What an odd and pleasant feeling.

Summertime fun (Part 1)

For the Fourth of July, Mike and his buddies, Enrique and Tony, decided to head down to Coney Island for some summertime fun. After a few rides, the guys took a wrong turn to find themselves in an alleyway. There were three women just hanging out by a chain link fence. One of them turned to stare Mike straight in the eyes.

"I know what you want." She said in an ominous voice.

Mike wanted to run, but he found that he was frozen in place. For the time being, he was frozen in place. He wanted to panic, but he found his whole mind crawled to a stop for an instant before snapping back.

When it did, things were different. He found that he was now the one leaning against the fence with the two other women besides him. He watched his own body walk away with Enrique and Tony. She had known what he wanted. He wanted her body. But he hadn't wanted it like most men "wanted" women. He wanted to be her. And he got that wish.

Rob went back to the hotel room to change out of the bikini and back into the clothes he wore earlier. It was getting late, and he probably wouldn't be able to start his quest to reverse this whole body swapping thing tomorrow. He's first search the area where it happened. There weren't many days left in his vacation for this, so he'd have to be search as quickly as -- and! Oh! He hadn't noticed how cute these shoes were earlier! They're so adorable! He caught himself. No! No distractions!

Twice in a lifetime

The Great Shift caused plenty of panic around the world, but Brian was not interested in questioning the hows and the why of what happened. He was just going to enjoy the ride. In fact, he saw a once in a lifetime opportunity in front of him -- Correction: he saw TWO once in a lifetime opportunities in front of him -- and he was going to enjoy it. Every second of it, for as long as it lasted. Finding out he'd be in his new body forever didn't bother him in the least. He now had plenty of new ways to pass the time.
